Maurice Grossman

Maurice Grossman is Professor Emritus of Art from the University of Arizona. A ceramic artist, teacher, painter and sculptor in mixed media, early in his career he was a watercolorist, before majoring in clay. He has taught in most 3D areas, including design, he still maintains a studio and has juried numerous art exhibits. He retired from the University of Arizona after 33 years teaching.

Mr. Grossman was educated at Wayne State University, Detroit, completed his MFA at Ohio State University and graduate work at Alfred University. After 50 years of art exhibitions, including solo shows, he has work in many collections. Mr. Grossman won numerous honors and awards, including a Fulbright Fellowship to Japan in 1954, and a Rockerfellar Grant and National Endowment in the Arts Award in 1984.
